TRASH IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER
Many years ago, a man felled a tree and left the stump in front of his house, ‘defacing the environment.’ An artist passed by the woodcutter’s house and asked him what he wanted to do with the tree stump.
‘Oh that, ‘ The woodcutter said disdainfully. ‘That is trash. I am looking for a way to dispose of it.’
‘I need it.’ The artist said and took away the ‘trash stump.’
The artist used the tree stump to carve a statue of John Wayne; a masterpiece sculpture that shot him into fame and fortune. The woodcutter heard of the artist’s fame and asked him, ‘Was it the trash stump I gave you that you used for that sculpture?’
‘Yes.’ The artist said gleefully. ‘Trash, my dear is in the eye of the beholder. ‘
The woodcutter went away with a life lesson.
I learnt mine on Saturday as I watched a film. I shed tears as I did because the storyline was a replica of one I had written some time ago. I gave the manuscript to someone ‘learned’ in that field and he called it ‘trash.’ I allowed him to discourage me and DUMPED MY DREAM.
Today, many years after, I saw the effort of someone who DARED TO STAND BY A DREAM!
Someone once said that ideas are like spirits flying around. Anyone that catches them and uses them benefits from them.
My dear friend, do not let that DREAM, that IDEA die in your hands. Use it! Do not let anyone MOCK YOUR DREAMS and call them TRASH. NURTURE those dreams, those ideas and those who APPRECIATE THEM will find you.
As I looked at the RAW MANUSCRIPT of my story idea, now an AWARD WINNING FILM, I took a DECISION. To do ALL IT TAKES, backed by DIVINITY to bring my STAGNATED DREAMS TO LIFE!
My distinguished readers, will you join me in this crusade?
Let us PICK UP OUR FORGOTTEN DREAMS from the DEBRIS OF DESPAIR. And let us march on with courage as we leave FOOTPRINTS OF NOTE on the SANDS OF TIME.
It is time to RULE YOUR WORLD
