IF I WERE A BOY
I believe someone sang a song with this title. The thought dropped into my heart as I sat to write an entry for today’s message to my lovely sisters out there.
I wonder why it did.
Do I sometimes wish I were a boy? No way!
People have mistaken me for a male because they think my name, Ifeanyi is a male’s own. But that name is unisex.
I am very comfortable in my female skin. I invite every female out there to celebrate her feminity. You are a woman. God created a man, looked at him, said “I can do better”and he created you. Each time you look at yourself, see God’s Masterpiece.
Do not lose your feminine side by competing with the man. You are meant to complement and complete him.
Men are perfect for their unique roles. I can understand that being single for so long makes you want to feel TOO independent but you are still a woman, crafted with define excellence to elegance.
Strive to be that woman that leaves a sweet fragrance wherever she goes. Be an amazon, homemaker, society builder.
Be a woman worth emulating.
So the next time the thought “If I were a boy”comes calling, say no.
Say “I celebrate my gender. I am a woman, beautifully crafted, whole, worthy, a showpiece of divinity.”
I celebrate WOMANHOOD.
I celebrate you ALL!
Have a great week!
