FIND YOUR FLAVOUR
During the just concluded Excellence In Leadership Conference of Daystar Christian Centre, (ELC) Reverend Sam Adeyemi expounded on the topic: Maximise your Influence.
He defined influence as the capacity to have effect on someone or something. The truth is that whether you know it or not, someone is following you or copying your lifestyle.
Has someone ever said to you, ‘I cannot believe you did this. I held you in high esteem.’
That is influence!
Adolf Hitler convinced people to fight a war and almost exterminate a whole race.
That is the power of influence!
You have a flavour in you. The Bible tells believers that they are the LIGHT OF THE WORLD and THE SALT OF THE EARTH. (Matthew 5:13-16). That is FLAVOUR. Adding colour to your world. Like a burst of bright light in a dark room.
You have a FLAVOUR in you. It’s up to you to use it positively or negatively. You can use it to bless people or destroy people. If you have charisma, use it to influence people positively and not to start riots.
If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste God in you?
You should strive to add value to people.
People lose interest in you when you do not add value to their lives. You add value to people’s lives when you release the flavour in you. When you give a part of yourself to bless others. It may not be material flavour alone. Sometimes a kind word, a willingness to serve, sharing knowledge.
Have you ever tasted a meal without salt? It irritates the taste buds. That’s how it feels when you do not release the flavour in you.
What flavour do you have that can benefit the next person?
Find and release your flavour.
