I had just returned to Lagos after I travelled to celebrate Christmas with my mum.
My auntie called to check if I was home and began to prophesy into the new year, wishing me greater blessings.
A sneering voice sounded within me, ‘Famous lines! That’s what they said in 2016. This is December and there are so many unfulfilled dreams in your life.’
Then the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit sounded in my heart and said, ‘Believe again.’
Just two words that made hope spring afresh in my heart.
And as I heard so I speak to you, reader of this message. I ask you to BELIEVE AGAIN.
In 2016, you believed that you will get a job but you are still jobless. Believe again.
In 2016, you believed you will start that business but all your efforts to do so were frustrated. Believe again.
In 2016, you believed you will buy that car but you are still driving that automobile that wakes your whole neighbourhood before it starts. Believe again.
In 2016, you thought you will get married but you are still single. Believe again.
In 2016, you were confident you will have a child. You believed all the prophecies and did all you could but only the sound of silence confronts you in your home. Believe again.
In 2016, you were sure you will be healed. But like the abandoned man at the pool of Bethsaida, you are still stuck with that sickness. Believe again.
You had so many dreams for 2016 but reality has mocked your expectations.
Believe, I say Believe yet again.
In this new year, newness shall come into your life.
If only you can BELIEVE AGAIN!
Happy New Year dear readers.
