A TRUMP CARD
Things like this happen once in a while.
People get blessings that almost everyone thinks they do not deserve. Protocols are broken and an ‘undeserving’ candidate gets the fat end of the pie.
When Martin Luther King dreamt of an America where men would be judged not by the colour of their skins but by the content of their character, I guess people laughed him to scorn.
Then Barack Obama ‘dared’ to contest for the presidency of the United States. But in fulfilment of that farfetched prophecy, he won and became the first BLACK MAN in a WHITE HOUSE.
In the royal family, an age long tradition was broken. For 350 years, no prince had married a commoner.
Till Kate Middleton came.
I think on these things and wonder about life.
Ladies that are considered ‘morally bankrupt’ marry the most eligible bachelors in town. And the ladies that people think are ‘wife material’ are still unmarried.
A lady who commits SEVERAL ABORTIONS gives birth to twins and a lady who gets married as a virgin cannot have even one child!
Hmmmm. Irony of life.
On the 9th of November 2016, the American people woke up to witness another of such ironies and many got talking at once.
But the big question is:
Can we really predict who deserves a particular blessing?
I reconcile this question to a verse of scripture which someone pointed out:
I returned and saw under the sun that:
The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding. Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.
This scripture answers it. No one can determine another person’s destiny!
So the next time you think someone does not deserve that blessing, remember that the TRUMPet can sound suddenly and it would not be HILLARYous! (As my imaginative friend, Emmanuel said)
This is my own conclusion of the matter:
As the hearts of Americans are beating “trump, trump,” I pray that God will play A TRUMP CARD.
